Yes. Bottom lashes do not have great retention. A few clients desire this for a more glamorous look or for photoshoots. Great for Brides too.
Try to arrive without any eye makeup and do not curl your lashes that day. However, if it’s not possible, fear not! We have all we need in the studio to get you prepped for pretty! Just make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you have enough time to remove your eye makeup without cutting into your session time. If you wear contacts, please bring a contact case as your contacts will need to be taken out before the application process can begin. ** If you wear waterproof mascara please stop using it 3 days prior to your lash appointment.
You will enjoy a soft relaxing music with aromatherapy and will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed. Our certified lash stylist will individually isolate each of your natural lashes and applies for the extensions one at a time to your own lashes. There is no discomfort or pain involved in the procedure. In fact, most clients find it so relaxing and comfortable that they fall asleep! Only to wake up relaxed with a beautiful new set of lashes custom designed uniquely for them.

One note of caution: We hear countless stories of individuals who go to an untrained lash technician because the cost is low. They receive a substandard set of lashes that are clumpy, painful and often damaging to their real lashes. A proper application of lashes is not painful during or after the procedure. Eyelash extension application is an exacting process that takes time and skill. If the cost is very cheap or the session time is rushed, you should certainly question the training of the technician as well the quality of the product. Furthermore, beware of places that offer quick lash services, which is a short-cut process that initially looks the same but takes a lot less time to apply and can put stress on your real lashes, causing lash breakage or loss, and potentially damaging them for the long term. Ultimately, the old adage “you get what you pay for” is often true.

During the application, we can’t tell which ones are at the beginning or end of their growth cycle. If we happen to apply it onto an eyelash that’s near its demise (so to speak) then we sadly are unable to resuscitate that poor lash!
Avoid using products that contain oil. Avoid wearing mascara – Avoid wearing makeup that contains oil base products in them – dirt and grime can disintegrate the glue and many eyeliners are oil-based. This isn’t to say DON’T, but keeping the lashes free of oil and dirt will definitely add to their longevity. We recommend using oil free Ink Liquid Eyeliner and powder eyeshadows, not creams.

The application of lash extensions will not cause hair loss, nor will it cause eyelashes to fall out. However, if you pull them out, well, then… you’ve pulled them out! Remember that your natural lashes have their own life cycle of falling and growing – like the hair found elsewhere on your body. It’s just hard to notice small lashes falling out, but when attached to a thicker, longer lash it’s hard not to notice! And of course, once the extensions are removed, your own eyes may appear smaller, your natural lashes, shorter and sparser because you’ve been accustomed to a full set of longer, thicker lashes! Some use extensions for special occasions, others are addicts for life!!!
The Short Answer: Approximately 3 – 4 weeks, depending on your natural hair growth cycle as well as personal lifestyle factors. Further, the look can be maintained indefinitely with refills. Properly applied extensions should remain in place until the natural lash on which it rests falls out naturally.
The Details: Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles (every 60 to 90 days). When a natural lash matures and falls out, new lash has already been growing and quickly replaces it without us noticing the turnover. This process is constant and at any given moment our many natural lashes are at different stages of maturity. Some are just growing in, while others are ready to shed. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. On shorter natural lashes, this growing and shedding cycle is virtually unnoticeable. With lash extensions, however, this same naturally occurring shedding process will be more noticeable since the extensions are longer and darker than natural lashes, making them much easier to spot. Please keep in mind that this is a perfectly normal occurrence, with or without extensions. Our highly-trained and skillful Lash Stylist will apply the lash extensions primarily to those lashes that are in the middle of their maturation cycle—never to baby lashes–to maximize the amount of they will last, without jeopardizing the health of the delicate baby lashes. Each extension will naturally fall out with the natural lash it is attached to when it reaches the end of its growth cycle. A few lash extensions may shed within the first week because the natural lashes they are attached to are at the end of their growth cycle. This is normal. Remember, we naturally shed lashes every day, even if we don’t notice them.
With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are typically only needed once every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed. Your lash stylist will add extensions to the newest mature natural lashes to maintain a full, lush appearance.
Black and brown are the two basic options. However, if you like to mix things up, we offer a variety of complementary colors including pink, purple, green, blue, yellow and red that can be blended in for as subtle or as bold of a look as you want. Your eyelash stylist will remove them using a gentle lash adhesive remover to gently release them from your existing lashes without any damage to your own, natural lashes.
No Mascara needed!!! That’s the really awesome part about lash extensions – you don’t need mascara!! Gone are the days of mascara smudges! You get to save time and still look camera ready at all times, day or night!! If you want mascara, we recommend you use a lash extension friendly mascara and only apply it on the tips of the extensions, not from the base to tip as the adhesive bond could loosen. If you really must wear mascara we can order in lash friendly mascara especially for you ( we don’t stock it – because you don’t need it. If you feel the need for mascara – it’s time for a Re-Lash appointment, or try our “Everlasting Beauty Extreme Luxury” Volume Lashes.
Yes, however, please do exercise care when removing. Use oil-free makeup remover cloths. Do not use any oil-based eye makeup remover.
Do not pull on the lash. Try lightly brushing with the mascara wand provided to you. If that does not work you can remove the individual lash by dipping a Q-tip into baby oil or coconut oil and letting it soak into the lash. You should remove this lash easily. Do your best to keep the oil away from your other lash extensions.
